Premiered on the BBC Radio 1 Rap Show with Charlie Sloth and subsequently chosen as his Record of the Week on BBC Radio 1Xtra: ‘Clearer Coast’ is the second track taken from Clubs & Spades debut E.P ‘Deal or No Deal’, released on May 17th.

Featuring the vocals of Tom Prior on the hook, Clearer Coast is brutally real with emotion and gives an often unheard and unspokenperspective of life in a breaking home. On a key-led beat with a fusion of hip-hop and pop influence, the simplistic, yet eerie intro to the track is an immediate attention grabber, which is further complemented by a flawless, skippy flow from Shinobi & Matic Mouth as the verses set pace.

Having already taken the local Sheffield music scene by its horns, the Hip-Hop collective, consisting of two MC’s: Matic Mouth and Shinobi and two producers: Andy Nicholson (Arctic Monkeys) and Jamie Shield (MNKN), have already opened for the likes of Public Enemy, Pharoahe Monch, M.O.P and Blackalicious. Their debut EP, ‘Deal Or No Deal’, is a snapshot representation of UK music at its best bringing with it a raw British street life identity. Talking about real life issues with a refreshing Northern twang filtering through every bar and verse, from the beginning of the EP to the end, the quality is consistently high, which is evident from the recent national support of their first track ‘Deal or No Deal’ from BBC DJ’s Toddla T and DJ Target as well as the Complex & Red Bull platforms.
