Introducing 19-year old producer and rapper Concept from North West London, and South East London rapper and songwriter DoctaDee. Together they are known as Concept x DoctaDee, and ‘I.B.T.O’ is their brand new single, and lead track from their forthcoming collaborative EP MNYUP Vol 1: Too Raw For Them, which is set to be released on February 6.

Produced by Concept, ‘I.B.T.O’ is held together by clever wordplay, relatable storytelling and lyrics, and infectious rap flows from the two young London rappers Concept and DoctaDee. The track is also complemented by a catchy and memorable hook, and laced over a slow-building yet ominous drill-esque musical backdrop that will leave you hitting that replay button.

Having already been championed by the likes of BBC IntroducingGRM DailyLink Up TV and Flavour Magazine as solo artists, Concept and DoctaDee joined forces at university in 2016 to form this exciting new collaborative group, and have spent the better part of last year recording what will be the first volume of their joint EP series MNYUP.

Speaking about the inspiration behind their new single ‘I.B.T.O’, the duo says, “IBTO is a reminder to anyone or anything you care about – whether it’s a person or music – that they can truly rely on you. You can call on us anytime, and we will deliver! The record boastfully has a catchy hook and verse to assure listeners that we’ll ‘be the one if you need something better’”.
